President of the Civil Rights Congress (CRC), Comrade Shehu Sani has cried out that Jonathan's re-election bid portends danger. He urged Nigerians to put the continuous corporate existence of the country above sentiment by voting out President Goodluck Jonathan next year, as his second term in office would lead to “disaster”.

Sani spoke in an interview with a local radio station, Nagarta, monitored in Zaria, saying the display of impunity by the Jonathan administration poses serious danger to Nigeria’s existence.
“Look at how they use security agencies to even violate the rights of those who are holding political offices. The issue of Aminu Tambuwal would have led to the impeachment of the president if members of the National Assembly knew what they should do. If people like Tambuwal can be treated that way, what is the fate of a common man?
“In this country, they are now using security agents as guards for ex-militants like Tampolo, Boilof and others. In another country, these people would be in prison because of the atrocities they committed against the country, but here, they are getting protection from security agents. They are being protected because they hail from the same place with the president. By these, and many others, if Jonathan gets re-elected, only God knows the disaster that would befall Nigeria,” Sani
