As the tablet is a GPE device, the Lollipop update is similar to Google Nexus tablets. As a result of the Android 5.0 update, the LG G Pad 8.3 will receive Material Design user interface elements. It also brings lock screen notifications, a new battery saving mode, and features like Priority Mode and Smart Lock.
The LG G Pad 8.3 GPE edition sports a 8.3 Full HD IPS WUXGA (1920 x 1200 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.7GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Processor. The Lollipop update is 405 MB and users can manually check for OTA update.
